If you supply equipment, materials, chemicals or services used in food handling or processing environments, your product or service may be suitable for HACCP International certification.
You do not need to work that out before contacting us. The initial review is designed to confirm whether your product or service falls within the scope of the certification scheme.
HACCP International assesses non-food products and services that can affect food safety in food handling, manufacturing and processing environments.
Chemicals, tools and cleaning equipment.
Processing, handling and production equipment.
Products used by staff in food facilities.
Flooring, walling and other facility materials.
Products and services used in food environments.
Products used around food processing equipment.
Products supporting food safety monitoring and control.
Lighting, drainage and other food facility products.
Products are reviewed against 10 key requirements, with a food safety risk assessment applied to each. The significance of individual requirements varies according to the product category and intended use.
For services, the assessment also considers areas such as food safety training, documentation, on-site delivery and standard operating procedures.
The process is designed to establish whether your product or service meets the requirements relevant to its intended use in the food industry.
Tell us what you supply, how it is used and where it is used.
We confirm whether your product or service is within scope before you prepare a full application.
You provide the technical information and supporting documentation needed for assessment.
Your product or service is assessed against the requirements relevant to its category and intended use.
If any gaps are identified, we explain what needs to be addressed before certification can proceed.
We complete the final review.
Certification is offered to products that meet our requirements. Permission is granted to use the certification mark logo to market certified products in accordance with the certification licence.
Certification gives customers, food safety teams and procurement professionals evidence that your product or service has been independently assessed for its intended use in the food industry.
Your certified product or service is listed in the HACCP International Product Register so customers can verify its certification.
You receive an official Certificate of Conformance and certification statement identifying the products or services covered by certification, together with the food zone classification awarded during the evaluation.
Throughout the licence period, you have access to HACCP International’s food safety expertise, technical guidance and training support to help you understand and maintain the requirements of certification.
Certified products and services may be considered for inclusion in HACCP International and HACCP Australia industry communications and promotional activity.
Send us a few details about what you supply and where it is used. Our team can review the information and contact you about whether certification is appropriate and what the next step would be.
You do not need to have a full application ready to start the conversation.
