FAOPMA, the Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managers Associations, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the professional pest management industry across Asia and Oceania. Serving as a collaborative platform, FAOPMA enables member associations to share knowledge, exchange information, and adopt best practices—all with the goal of protecting the lives and homes of more than 4 billion people.
This year’s two-and-a-half-day conference brought together over 1,300 attendees from 25 countries, with 48 booths hosted by sponsors and exhibitors. The event took place in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.
The program covered a broad range of topics across the pest management spectrum. A highlight was the series of sessions on the industry’s evolution from traditional pest control to risk-based pest management solutions, incorporating quantitative tools aligned with Codex HACCP principles.
HACCP International attended the event in support of its customers, strengthening relationships and engaging with stakeholders while highlighting the importance of food-safe pest solutions for the food industry.
