I am delighted to announce a number of staff changes within our technical team at HACCP International. With an increasing workload and ever greater technical demands, our team in head office is increasing and that has seen a number of promotions and additions to our team.
Shannon Oakes
With effect from July, our team will be welcoming Shannon Oakes as an Evaluation Technologist. Shannon has been with the organisation for a number of years and we are delighted to promote from within. Shannon is a food technologist with valuable industrial experience and already has a good working knowledge of our systems and methodology.
Juliana Elliott
Many of you will know Juliana as our senior evaluation technologist. She has undertaken that role for the last five years and as well as conducting her tasks extremely well, she has also introduced many systemic and technical improvements. Juliana will be taking over the role of Technical Manager, succeeding Karen Constable with whom she has been working very closely over recent years.
Karen Constable
For the last fourteen years, Karen has led the HI technical department and has been integral to the scheme’s rapid development and many of its successes. Understandably, Karen is looking for new challenges and, fortunately, we are in a position to offer those. Karen is moving into a new and vital role with us on ‘Special Projects’. In this position, she will have some more flexibility, both professionally and personally, and face new challenges as HACCP International develops further. Karen’s work in recent years has led to the identification of a number of areas where we can improve our systems, certification services and client benefits. In turn, these will see us maintaining ‘world’s best practice’ in our particular field of food-safe, product certification. There is no one more competent to take us where we need to go and we are delighted to be able to retain her skills and experience.
Many of you will know these three key staff members in their previous roles. Martin Stone, our technical director, Rachel Meryment, the global certification manager, and I are delighted to have them all on our team and especially pleased that we can fill such important roles from within.
