Sainsburys and Unilever are two examples of companies that are now trialing blockchain technology to gather and record quality and price information through their supply chains. Starbucks is also piloting blockchain to gather real time information to assist and empower rural farmers. Coca Cola confirmed it was piloting it to manage the issue of forced labour in its sugarcane supply chain.
